2018-2019 Soar Volleyball Season Player/Parent Information

Try Outs (your age is determined by what age you are/will be prior to September 1, 2019)

1. 10U-18U tryouts will be held Saturday December 8^th from 8am-10am

 

IN ORDER TO TRY OUT EVERYONE MUST:

 

1. Register through our registration page on www.soarvolleyballclub.com/registration.
2. Pay a $50 non-refundable deposit to Soar Volleyball Club along with registration (use credit or debit card on the website). If paying by check on the day of try-outs, make checks out to Soar Volleyball Club.  Cash will also be accepted on the day of tryouts.  This $50 deposit is nonrefundable but will be applied toward your total club fee if you are offered and accept a position on a Soar Volleyball Club team.  
3. Have a current USAV membership card (Cost $55 and Located on the links page of our website). USAV will refund 75% or your membership fee ($41.25) if you request a refund from USAV within 30 days of membership.
4. Fill out and sign a Medical Release Form (Located on the links page of our website)
5. VERY IMPORTANT!  DAY OF TRYOUTS: BRING USAV MEMBERSHIP CARD AND MEDICAL RELEASE FORM! Additional documentation for Soar registration will not be necessary. We will have a roster to check off who is registered and paid. 

 

You cannot try out if anything listed above is missing or incomplete on the day of tryouts.

 

Schedule

1. Tryouts December 8^th from 8am-10am
2. Practice dates and times are based on your team placement and will be twice a week; may include week day and/or weekend practice times (Practices will begin in December 2018 and continue until May 2019)
3. Tournament Schedules: you will receive a tournament schedule along with your contract once team placement has been determined (at least one tournament per month)

 

Cost

1. SVC Local Team $850 (May include out of town tournament within a couple hours of Jacksonville)

SVC Regional Team $1250

SVC National Team $2200

1. Cost includes jersey, spandex, additional Soar apparel, training, skills clinics, tournament fees, equipment and administrative fees.  Private lessons not included.
2. Additional Costs: $55 USAV membership, tournament day travel costs and food

2. A $50 non-refundable deposit is due the day of tryouts.  And additional $175 is due the day you sign your contract accepting a position on a team if offered a position.  The remaining balance must be paid before the first tournament in January (unless a payment arrangement has been requested and approved by the club director)

 

 

Fundraising for your Club Costs

Corporate Sponsorship of an individual  –

1. You may obtain corporate sponsorships to help pay for your club membership
2. All businesses who sponsor a player will be featured on the Club’s website
